01.09.06: first hint of fear came when they told me to use my cushion as a
'flotation" device. second when i saw 'floatation" and THOUGHT it was mispelled
(yes, i looked it up). third, when i arrived in las vegas and saw (on tv in my hotel)
that an U.S. Airways plane was on fire and in process of evacuation during take-off
in miami.
